The sense of expand two building at a time is to make the game faster.
Very active players already have an advantage above those who can only be online once or twice a day.
Increasing the speed would also increase that advantage and make the game for less active players more unlikely to play.
| Quote: | | I was just poking around and I happened to come across in the DE version a server called the speed server. This may be coming, around to be implemented some time in the english version sooner, or later. |
That's more likely.
The german Speedserver always runs always for three days and is resettet then.
The map is way smaller, no islands are protected and it runs 400 times faster (which means, forget sleeping ) _________________

| I'm trying out the fast german server now and it seems quite fun for now. |

Thing is, if you're that desperate to build up quickly, there is the option to pay a certain amount of coins to finish the building instantly. _________________ Mcmurderman, proud administrator of [D-L] (Server 2).

I've played many games where level 1 of something takes 1 minute, and level 20 of the same thing takes like 20 hours -- and I thought that was slow, but omg, a WEEK?
It's funny, too, that in most games, you're always waiting for resources, but in this game, when you're building, the resources come faster than you can use them. Except, once you start building military (troops, weapons, and ships), then you have no spare resources.
I think building more than one thing at a time would only make the game go faster at the lower levels, where things don't take that long. But raising a gold mine to level 19 and raising a quarry to level 16 together doesn't help much because it's going to take several days between the two. You have to log in at least every day.
A better strategy is to raise levels at the same time as you build up your military. You can have all three military installations working at once, plus something else. |

Having two expansions at once is a bad idea. It would be too easy for big isles to expand fast.
You lot said something about the little players liking this suggestion so they can expand quickly?
Small players' buildings expand quickly already. And what about that feature that upgrades to the next level if you stay on the page
A no from me.
Perhaps a queue though... maybe take a leaf from beep's book and have it so it costs 2x the amount of resources of the building to add it to the queue? _________________ MinDistortionIsGod@hotmail.co.uk
